Titre : The Seismic Design Handbook Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Farzad Naeim, Auteur Editeur : SPRINGER Année de publication : 1989 Importance : 464p Présentation : .couv. ill Format : 28.5x22 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-412-07891-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Geologie:03 Séismes Mots-clés : seismic design Résumé : The Seismic Design Handbook is a primary resource for both researchers and teachers in the field of earthquake-resistant design. The first edition of this handbook was received with much enthusiasm. It is the de-facto textbook for teaching seismic design principles at many major universities. In the United States, UC Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, University of Southern California, SUNY Buffalo, the University of Illinois, Washington University, the University of Texas at Austin, Georgia Tech, Cornell, and the University of Michigan have adopted the text. Abroad, the Imperial College of London and the Israel Institute of Technology are among its adopters. This second edition contains up-to-date information on planning, analysis, and design of earthquake-resistant building structures. Its intention is to provide engineers, architects, developers, and students of structural engineering and architecture with authoritative, yet practical, design information. It bridges the gap between advances in the theories and concepts of seismic design and their implementation in practice. This handbook has been endorsed by the International Conference of Building Officials. Audience: The Seismic Design Handbook is a must for practicing engineers, architects, building officials, developers, teachers, and students in the field of earthquake-resistant building design. Its distinguished panel of contributors is made up of 22 experts from industry and universities, recognized for their knowledge and extensive practical experience in their fields. Note de contenu : the nature of earthquake motion .earthquake ground motion and responce spectra .dynamic responce of building .static lateral -force procedures .architectural considerations .design for drift and lateral stability .seismic design of floor diaphgram .seismic design of steel structures .seismic design of masonry structures .geotechnical and foundation design considerations .... Titre : Measurement Theory for Engineers by ilya gertsbakh Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ilya Gertsbakh, Auteur Editeur : SPRINGER Année de publication : 2003 Importance : 150p Format : +23cmx16cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 3-540-00081-x Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : ELECTRONIQUE
ELECTRONIQUE:02 Mesures - Schémas- Circuits électroniquesMots-clés : standard deviation-variance-process Résumé :
this book was first presented as a one-semester graduate course in Measurement Theory for M.Sc. students of the Industrial Engineering De- partment of Ben Gurion University in the 2000/2001 academic year. The book is devoted to various aspects of the statistical analysis of data arising in the process of measurement. We would like to stress that the book is devoted to general problems arising in processing measurement data and does not deal with various aspects of special measurement techniques. For example, we do not go into the details of how special physical parameters, say ohmic resistance or temperature, should be measured. We also omit the accuracy analysis of particular measurement devices. The Introduction (Chapter 1) gives a general and brief description of the measurement process, defines the measurand and describes different kinds of the measurement error. Chapter 2 is devoted to the point and interval estimation of the popula- tion mean and standard deviation (variance). It also discusses the normal and uniform distributions,Measurement Theory for Engineers by ilya gertsbakh [texte imprimé] / Ilya Gertsbakh, Auteur . - SPRINGER, 2003 . - 150p ; +23cmx16cm.
